We skipped the light Fandango

There is an unpublished second verse
that they included in concerts:

She said "I'm home on shore leave"
Though in truth we were at sea
So I took her by the looking glass
And forced her to agree
Saying, "You must be the mermaid

But she smiled at me so sadly
That my anger straight 'way died

Há ainda um quarto verso (a letra original tem quatro, dos quais só dois são ouvidos na gravação original. O terceiro verso foi ouvido em apresentações do Procol Harum, e mais raramente também o quarto.
