E Deus disse:
And God said,
Haja as luzes
Let there be the lights
No firmamento do céu.
In the firmament of the heaven.

Que haja luzes no céu para dividir o dia ea noite;
Let there be lights in heaven to divide the day from the night;
E sejam eles para sinais, para estações e para dias e anos;
And let them be for signs, for seasons and for days, and years;
E deixar para depois ser luzeiros no firmamento para alumiar a terra.
And let then be for lights in the firmament to give light upon the earth.

E foi assim, e Deus fez dois grandes luminares;
And it was so, and God made two great lights;
O luminar maior para governar o dia,
The greater light to rule the day,
Eo luminar menor para governar a noite; as estrelas também.
And the lesser light to rule the night; the stars as well.
E Deus os pôs no firmamento para alumiar a terra,
And God set them in the firmament to give light upon the earth,

E para governar o dia ea noite
And to rule over the day and over the night
E dividir as trevas da luz.
And to divide the darkness from the light.

Haja uma expansão no meio das águas
Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters

E Deus disse:
And God said,
Deixe Produzam as águas, abundantemente, a criatura em movimento que tem a vida,
Let the waters bring forth, abundantly, the moving creature that hath life,
E fétido que pode voar acima da terra no firmamento do céu.
And foul that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven.
... Ou então que algumas pessoas acreditam.
