Lord You're Everything

You are the joy that lifts my heart,
how much of my being, the biggest part,
and here in Your awesome shadow,
I completely live.

Just like the wind, I feel Your presence,
because of Your Name, I give You reverence;
are there any words that frame
the things to me You are?

For You are my only source of hope,
(and I don't have to dread the end).
And it has been You,
oh Lord, the Only One,
(on which my heart depends).

How I would hate the thought of facing life
(without You here with me),
(Lord, all I'm saying is You're everything).

From the beginning to the end,
I've found this one thing to be true,
everything I am is all because of You.

No coincidence of faith,
there is no credit I can take,
it's only because of You.

What I don't understand, You already know,
when life gets too cruel, to You I'll go;
gently reminding me all things are in Your hands.

People call You a phase and me a fool,
they say I'm wasting time on You,
I guess they don't understand,
without You there's no me.

I found this one thing to be true,
everything I am is all because of you.
