Bad Trip

Stared long into the sun until the black filled the skies
I turned it off I turned it on brought the light back to my eyes
I didn't want to be the one with my face against the wall
I didn't want to be the one who would stand to lose it all

It's like a bad trip with every step
A loose grip on every ledge
Picking myself up off the ground to fall down again
I rise up to take what's left
Exhaling every breath
Putting it all together to watch it fall apart again
