Infinite Lines

The clouds are staggering tonight
The dawn a protein in my eye
And I have lived a life before
Traced the rain drops down
Asking who first could reach the sill

I've been accepting that I'm never gonna change the world
Though I've crossed vastnesses to surface in yours

While the jettison whites the shore
