I only smile behind the mask

Maybe I hadn't saw the red light. Perhaps I just didn't care,
imagining it would never happen. Never thought about what is life and death.
I'd realize I saw the face of death as a monster coming fast.
Metal tore my face and scared my neck. That brief omission collapsed my flesh.
May I never talk or I just don't care.
Maybe it´s a dream that had never happened
But there is no mask for who never cares.
I only smile behind the mask
a milisecond wrong decision
forced me to wear
My soul wears no mask
Since then I hadn't my former face. Perhaps I don't even care.
Did that illusion really happened? Did I deserve what I caused to myself?
I now realize I exchanged the face of death for a monstrous that is not my self.
Memories (when I used to be happy) bring some smiles with the taste of sadness
May I never look the truth behind the mask.
Maybe it´s the smile that I sometimes wear.
But there is no mask for who never cares.

My life and dreams had fade away
The mirror now is my enemy
Oh my only eye demands compassion
The mirror proves I'm guilty
I don't want to dream each day one nightmare
I'm deep scarred, people are my enemies
I don't want to live the life of someone else
I want to smile again and throw away this mask.
