Sometimes I wish I could live in my dream world…

Today they told me this was fake. It broke my soul
Living in a dream world. Now I'm feeling hella cold
So I cover up my face, put my jacket over that
Been sleeping on the couch for 3 weeks. This shit is whack
So I'm trapped between reality & this dream scape
Been falling back asleep into nightmares & these fake
Images keep manifesting. I know I'm dreaming but it's so interesting
The best thing for stressed teens & adults who let things get so repressed
That even in your dreams your eyes cannot accept
That event that your mentality would reject
Getting to see what I'm hiding from myself, it's a trip
I detect reality & separate it from the fake
You could say I realize I'm dreaming every other day
I attempt to control the situation but I can't
My favorite thing about living are my dreams & it's sad
It's sad cuz I love imagination
But I really ain't gonna get nowhere in life if I stay home sleeping
